I went into the BIOS and the 'AC97 Audio' setting is there. toshiba Satellite p30 xp family edition sp3 i unplugged my m-audio external card from the laptop then the laptop speakers stopped working. bummer since i like to bring that laptop at work to listen to music. the mp3 is playing, just like the films etc but i don't hear anything. volume is not muted. no error message, under systems: "realtek ac97 audio is working correctly" apparently. i can use the laptop with my external sound card, it works fine, but i would like to fix it's own soundcard.
